Progress Tour Holds Two Events in UK

The United Kingdom is one of the newer nations to host UTR PTT events, made possible by a partnership with Barry Fulcher's Progress Tour. In November in Easton, Ewen Lumsden (13.22) won the men's pro tennis event while Aneta Laboutkova (10.43) captured the women's.

Dubai Hosts Multiple UTR Pro Tennis Tour Events

Rackets Academy hosted one men's and two women's $25K PTT events at the Jebel Ali Golf Resort in the Middle East with Gozal Ainitdinova (UTR Rating 10.51), Andrea Obradovic (10.40), and Benedikt Henning (12.89) leaving as champions. Lodikova Repeats as Champion

In Argentina, Daria Lodikova (11.13) picked up her fifth UTR PTT title by not dropping a set. In fact, she lost just three games in four round-robin matches. The 27-year-old is an aspiring pro player with a WTA Tour ranking of No. 364. All of these tennis players entered the PTT events based on direct acceptance, although players can earn entry through wild cards, qualifying, or, if they're junior players, via the UTR Sports Junior National Pathway. Learn more about the National Pathway here. Don't forget any of these names, as many UTR PTT players go on to compete at the Grand Slam level like Ben Shelton, Taylor Townsend, Learner Tien, and many more.

About the UTR Pro Tennis Tour (PTT)

The UTR Pro Tennis Tour officially began on January 1, 2021 to support tennis globally with prize money, venue support, technology, logistics, and competitive play opportunities. Universal Tennis, LLC is the owner and organizing body of the UTR Pro Tennis Tour (PTT), with responsibility for its Rules and Regulations, Code of Conduct, Tournament Format, and related streaming and commercial rights. The UTR Pro Tennis Tour was started to create a development tour. With fewer events and substantially reduced prize money, aspiring professional players are increasingly struggling in the pursuit of their dreams. Working with host venues and national Federations, PTT provides additive and complementary opportunities to help emerging players and the broader tennis community.
